The original is thought to have originated from the early tobacco plantations of nineteenth century Jamaica as they used their empty rum kegs to cure their local tobaccos. After the leaves had absorbed the flavoring of the rum, they were sprayed with cool spring water laced with a touch of vanilla and then left to age a few more months. What resulted was a hedonist’s delight, a marriage of flavors that are virtually addictive. Our Old Jamaica Formula cigars are blended with Central American short filler and finished with a Natural or Maduro wrapper and packed in Spanish cedar.
