"Early in the cigar boom, Navarro, Nicaraguas entry into the super premium sweepstakes, arrived on the scene. The rich blend of rare premium tobaccos, coupled with extra aging, justified Navarros price tag of over $100 per box. Using the most exclusive Connecticut wrapper, Navarros production never got beyond 50 boxes per day, another reason for its super premium price. Now, however, the cigar wars are over. Tobacco production once again is in line with the demand, and tobacco prices are more reasonable. The market is right to reintroduce the New Navarro at a substantially reduced price, approximately half what a box sold for as recently as two years ago. With Navarro you get a cigar that compares favorably with Excalibur and Punch at a cost that reflects the end of the boom market. The adage still holds true, there are bargains to be found for those who know where to look. Look to Navarro" |
